The Los Angeles Angels downed the Oakland Athletics, 6-0, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Los Angeles pitcher Chet Brewer definitely brought his A-game. Los Angeles is now 52-55.
Los Angeles left fielder Mike Trout contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 93rd hit of the season and put the Angels ahead, 2-0.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Brewer.
