Seattle and Minnesota got after it at Target Field.

The Seattle Mariners earned a win at Target Field, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 5-3. On the bump for Seattle was right-hander Felix Hernandez. He had a starring role in the triumph. Kazuhiro Sasaki closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 25th save.

Edgar Martinez came through with a big-time hit for Seattle. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Felix was pumping the zone," said Seattle manager .

Seattle, at 54-54, holds down third place in the American League Western Division.
