New York Breaks Through for First Win in Round 3; Now Trails 2-1
Overcoming a bravura effort from opposing starter Dazzy Vance, the New York Yankees slipped past the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 2-1 and got their first win in the 2014 Round 3. Vance threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the Yankees. The win narrows New York's deficit to 2-1.

Mickey Mantle drove in one run for New York. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Mantle had a clutch at-bat. Facing Los Angeles hurler Dazzy Vance, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Yankees a 2-1 lead.

"Everything is so stressful now," Mantle said. "I was just trying not to trip on my way up to the plate."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Yankee Stadium in New York.
