Twins Stymied by Blue Jays, Stieb
|
Minnesota had no answer for 27-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Stieb. The Toronto Blue Jays starter stymied Twins hitters, helping the Blue Jays cruise to victory, 9-0. The Blue Jays upped their record to 51-51.
Stieb, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 5-10. In 8 innings of work, Stieb gave up no runs on 1 hit, while racking up 7 Ks. He kept the Twins punchless, offensively.
