Thanks in large part to designated hitter Josh Gibson, the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Indians, 6-1. Gibson belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Roy Welmaker got the win, improving to 10-7. He held the Indians to 1 run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 3. Minnesota, now 54-43, holds down first place in the American League Central Division.

Minnesota manager called it "a pretty good win."
