Twins Beat Indians, 3-1
|
Corey Kluber, despite pitching well, was dismayed with the outcome: a hard-fought, 3-1 Cleveland Indians defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. By defeating Cleveland, the first-place Twins improved to 53-43.
In the bottom of the sixth, Minnesota center fielder Oscar Charleston put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 24th home run of the year. Cleveland pitcher Corey Kluber served it up. Just like that, the Twins were ahead, 2-1.
Charleston attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
