New York Dealt 9-4 Defeat
|
Due in large part to shortstop Bo Bichette, the Toronto Blue Jays sunk the New York Yankees, 9-4. Bichette was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The third-place Blue Jays hiked their record to 49-46.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Bichette hit a 3-run home run off Lefty Gomez. It propelled the Blue Jays into the lead, 5-2.
"Everything is going good for me," said Bichette.
