In a tight contest at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the Los Angeles Angels edged the Chicago White Sox by the score of 8-7 in 13 innings. Los Angeles designated hitter Tim Salmon, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Los Angeles, now 43-50, holds down 4th place in the American League Western Division.
