Diamondbacks Suffer 13-1 Drubbing

The Cincinnati Reds soundly defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 13-1, at Chase Field. Aaron Boone, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a .484 slugging percentage, let his bat do the talking. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 for Cincinnati. Cincinnati, now 27-28, holds down last place in the National League Central Division.
With Cincinnati leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Boone hit a 2-run single off Arizona hurler Miguel Batista. It was the 44th hit of the season for Boone and put his team ahead, 4-0.
Arizona manager said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
