Diamondbacks Tack 4-3 Loss on Cubs
|
Arizona Diamondbacks starter Miguel Batista pitched effectively against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 4-3 win. Batista picked up the win for Arizona, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Matt Mantei nailed down his 5th save.
In the top of the fourth inning of a 3-3 tie, Arizona shortstop Tony Batista reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Arizona on top, 4-3.
Arizona manager praised his team's "no BS approach."
With the loss, Chicago is 10-8.
