Mel Ott was instrumental in his team's 10-3 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the San Francisco Giants. Today's win puts San Francisco at 54-41, while Arizona falls to 38-57.

San Francisco grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Ott hit a 2-run triple off Curt Schilling. His 3rd triple of the season put the Giants out in front, 3-1.
