About Baseball Replay

Welcome! I'm Don, and this site brings together several hobbies I've enjoyed over the years: baseball history, website design, ballpark travel and watercolor painting.

Baseball & Website Design

I've long been fascinated by baseball's history and by the possibilities of replaying seasons that might have turned out differently. I also have a background in computer programming and graphic design, so creating websites became a natural way to share those projects.

Over the years I've built sites using both code and visual website tools, often learning something new along the way. More recently, I've enjoyed working with ChatGPT to develop new designs and expand what those projects can do. The Diamond Almanac and other replay websites reflect that continuing interest in both baseball and web design.

Ballpark Adventures

My wife and I enjoy visiting baseball parks together. Each visit brings its own stories and photographs, from historic ballparks to newer stadiums. Our Ballpark Bucket List is a place to revisit those memories.

Watercolors

Retirement also gave me the chance to try watercolor painting. It's been a rewarding change of pace, and the gallery lets me look back at the paintings and see how my approach develops.

Made Over the Years

Some of these websites were built long before today's creative tools were available; others are newer collaborations. I still enjoy experimenting, refining and learning — and that's really what ties all of these interests together.
