The '49 Boston Red Sox beat out the '27 Yankees for 5th by the slightest margin due to the fact they tied more of their series versus the top clubs. The '17 White Sox are next followed by two very close teams '42 Dodgers and Cardinals. The second negro league club to make the list is the '20 American Giants at tenth place. The '38 Homestead Grays are the next negro league club with the '35 Cubs, '32 Yankees, '35 Tigers in between. The '35 Pittsburgh Crawfords are the next negro league club with the '22 Giants, '31 Athletics, '15 Red Sox and the '38 and '37 Yankees standwiched between. The '46 Eagles come in at 22nd place, the '29 Black Sox are at 24th and the '42 Monarchs are at 26th. The bottom 13 clubs are all from the negro league.

One final note, to answer the question of "how would the negro league teams do against the MLB clubs of their day?" I would have to say that seven clubs would have been able to compete starting with the '24 Kansas City Monarchs, the '20 Chicago American Giants, '38 Homestead Grays, '35 Pittsburgh Crawfords, '46 Newark Eagles, '29 Baltimore Black Sox and the '42 Kansas City Monarchs.
