The 1001 greatest single season player performances since 1900. The season includes 1001 players with the best DKS Value and WAR combination for a single season. DKS Value and WAR are based on real stats adjusted by era, year specific left\right park factors, DKS player ratings, and position. Individual players are not represented more than once.
Balanced between position players, starting pitchers, and relief pitchers, and spread between all eras from 1900 to present, this set is perfect for creating a league or importing players into your own leagues.
Using this database I have created 30 teams based on seasons played. The teams are then seperated into six divisions, Deadball 1904-1920, Golden 1924-1940, Boomers 1944-1966, Artifical 1970-1982, Camden 19871996, and stats 2004-2020. Each team will be filled with the top players for a range of five or so seasons. So for example represnting the 1992 season is the Montral Expos with a pitching staff made up of Jose Rijo – Cincinnati, Mike Messina – Baltimore, Kevin Appier – Kansas City, Chuck Finley – California, Bob Tewsberry – St. Louis, Greg Harris – Texas, Bob James – Montreal, Cecillo Guante – Pittsburgh, and Todd Worrell – St. Louis. Their batting lineup icludes: Barry Larkin – Cincinnati, Kevin Mitchell – San Francisco, Ruben Sierra – Texas, Jose Offerman – Los Angeles, Adrian Gonzalez – San Diego, Rickey Henderson – Oakland, Albert Pujols – St. Louis, Mickey Tettleton – Oakland, and Will Clark – San Francisco.
