Halfway through September and Oscar Charleston's batting average is still rising topping .400 to go along with his 5 homers, tied for second. He is also tops in RBI, and OPS. St. Louis Giants Bill Drake is tops with 14 wins. The Chicago American Giants and the Hilldale club have continued to lead their respective leagues.

At the end of September the Kansas City Monarchs have caught the Chicago American Giants in the national league and the Hilldale club keep a 1 game lead over the Brooklyn Royal Giants in the independent eastern league. Oscar Charleston is still batting king at .390 and RBI leader at 66. Hurley McNair home run king at 7. Bill Drake and Dizzy Dismukes are tied at 14 for the pitching wins lead. Drake has also surpassed Rogan as the strikeouts leader.
