It became official today with the close of the regular season that the talented Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman was the best in the league. His .317 average put him at the top of the leaderboard and got him the AL batting title.
White's stats also included 171 hits, 23 doubles, 15 triples, 7 home runs, 103 RBIs and 89 runs.
