Replaying Baseball's History
A Collection of 36 of the best teams from 1920-1940 (ish) including 16 Negro League clubs. With the assistance of OOTP26 I will replay a 154 game season with these clubs.
If the “Golden Era” of baseball (roughly 1920s-1940s) had included the Negro Leagues, it would have fundamentally altered the history of the sport, redefined “greatness” through integrated competition, and resulted in a single, richer historical record from the start. The current reality is that Major League Baseball officially incorporated Negro Leagues statistics into its historical records in 2024, addressing this hypothetical in a real-world, albeit delayed, manner.
Note this is not my first attempt at this project. Several years ago I used Dave Koch’s PC Baseball to replay the best clubs from the Golden era.
