The Baby Boomer or Integration Era spans from 1947-1968. In 1947 Jackie broke the color barrier on the Brooklyn Dodgers and paved the way for other black ball players, integreating the league. In this replay there was no barrier to break, black players have been included from it's inception. The era brought movement west as Giants and Dodgers headed west to California. The Browns left St. Louis and headed east to Baltimore to become the Orioles. The Braves moved west from Boston to Milwaukee. In the early sixties the league expanded added another club in New York, the Mets. A third club was added to California the Los Angeles Angels and the Astros in Houston were added. Besides Jackie other great black stars included "Cool Papa" Bell, Buck Leonard, Hilton Smith, Martin Dihigo, Leon Day. Along with Jackie other Negro League stars to don a major league cap included, Monte Irvin, Larry Doby, Minnie Monoso to name a few. Other greats from this era included, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Carl Yaztremski, Al Kaline, Ernie Banks, Bob Gibson, Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, Frank Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial.
