Leonard Crafts 4-0 Shutout Versus Boston Tuesday, September 5th , 1916 Dutch Leonard kept the Boston Red Sox hitters from doing much damage at Fenway Park. Boston could only muster 4 hits and draw 2 walks against the left-handed Leonard, who controlled them throughout the game. Philadelphia won the contest, 4-0. Leonard added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Leonard told reporters after the shutout win.
