AL Winner is Lloyd Monday, September 4th , 1916 John Henry Lloyd swung a blistering bat last week for Birmingham Black, rapping out 13 hits in 27 at-bats against Barons opponents to propel himself to the AL Player of the Week Award. Whenever the shortstop hit the ball, he hit it with authority. The 32-year-old racked up a .481 batting average with no home runs, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. At present, Lloyd is batting .317 and has collected 2 home runs, 56 RBIs, .348 OBP and scored 100 runs. |
