Red-Hot Pitcher Chills Out on Award Friday, September 1st , 1916 Last month was a very good one for Art Nehf of St. Louis. So good that he has been picked as the Rookie of the Month in the NL. Nehf throttled league hitters the entire month, rounding out August with an impressive 4-2 mark and 3.63 ERA in 7 starts with 18 strikeouts in 52 innings. Thus far this season, Nehf has posted a 13-14 record, started 35 games, struck out 115 batters in 280 innings and compiled a 2.54 ERA. |
