Shaw Shackles Cleveland Saturday, August 19th , 1916 Jim Shaw held the Cleveland Indians to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 2-0 shutout at Fenway Park. Speaking after the game, Boston Red Sox manager said "Shaw had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Shaw rung up 3 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Cleveland manager told reporters.
