Money Slams 3 Homers for Brewers
Tuesday, September 30th , 2014
Don Money of the Brewers won the battle against Cincinnati pitching, but lost the war. He hit three out of the park at Great American Ball Park, got his name in the league record book, but Milwaukee came up short in the win column, losing to the Reds, 4-3. The Milwaukee second baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploded off his bat all day long.

"I don't try to hit homers," he said. "I try to go out there and have good at-bats. If I put a good swing on the ball, then it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one. I just try to have good at-bats."

For the game, the 30-year old second baseman Money went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

Where does he rank this day in his career? "It's up there," Money said. "I'll put it up there in the upper echelon, despite the loss."

Don Money struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jose Rijo in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Rijo in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Rob Dibble in the 9th.

So far this season, Money is hitting .241 with 14 home runs, 48 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 97 hits in 403 at-bats and a .282 OBP.
