The home crowd had a good time watching the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies get after it.

Behind a fine performance from Kirt Manwaring, the Colorado Rockies knocked off the Atlanta Braves, 10-4. Manwaring was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rockies. The Rockies saw their win-loss record go to 24-43. At the same time, the Braves fell to 36-30.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jeff Cirillo came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Atlanta pitcher John Smoltz, he hit a first pitch changeup for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Colorado on top, 6-4.
