Toronto registered a win at Rogers Centre by beating the Minnesota Twins, 3-1. Pitcher Roy Halladay was one reason why the Blue Jays triumphed. In 8 innings, Halladay surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Toronto is now 40-27.
Second Baseman Roberto Alomar made an impact for Toronto, when he swatted a solo home run off Johan Santana in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Alomar was 1 for 4 with a home run.
