The Atlanta Braves pasted the Colorado Rockies with a convincing 11-3 defeat at Coors Field. Chipper Jones was a prime factor in the Atlanta win. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Atlanta pitcher Tom Glavine got the win, upping his record to 8-3. Kyle Freeland got the loss. The Braves upped their record to 36-28.

Marcus Giles aided the Atlanta cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Jones.
