San Francisco turned a good effort from starter Carl Hubbell into a win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The Giants won the game, 4-2. Hubbell got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Freddie Lindstrom had a direct impact on the outcome. Lindstrom contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put San Francisco up, 2-1.
