Baltimore Beats Oakland in Extra Innings
The Baltimore Orioles had to overcome a big game from Oakland left fielder Jose Canseco to leave Oriole Park at Camden Yards with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-8. Canseco was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Orioles, at 28-34, sit in last place in the American League Eastern Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Baby Doll Jacobson in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Taylor to win the game for Baltimore. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Jacobson.
