Mariners Win with Late Rally
The Seattle Mariners wiggled past the Tampa Bay Rays, 5-4, at Tropicana Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Seattle center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. The Mariners improved their record to 37-23 with the win over Tampa Bay.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Kyle Seager to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mariners on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Seager told a Seattle Observer reporter that he felt "relieved" after the win.
