On Road, Colorado Beats Cleveland, 5-2
|
The exploits of first baseman Todd Helton, who is tied for 8th in the NL in runs scored with 33, helped the Colorado Rockies defeat the Cleveland Indians, 5-2. Helton was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Rockies now have a record of 16-40.
It could have been a different outcome for Colorado, had it not been for Troy Tulowitzki, the slick-fielding shortstop . Tulowitzki contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Colorado up, 3-2.
"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Helton.
