Orioles Double Up Houston, 4-2
|
The Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros played an exciting game.
Baltimore pitcher Dave McNally had a large part in his team subduing the Houston Astros, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. McNally got the win, improving to 5-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 5 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Stu Miller sewed up the save, his 7th.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Eddie Murray, the 27-year old first baseman . Murray contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Baltimore up, 1-0.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Murray.
The win makes Baltimore 25-29.
