Colorado Doubles Up Cleveland, 8-4
|
At Progressive Field, the Cleveland Indians and Colorado Rockies were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Colorado Rockies defeated the Cleveland Indians, 8-4, at Progressive Field. DJ LeMahieu produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. The win boosts the Rockies to 15-40. The loss puts the Indians at 31-25.
Nolan Arenado had a big 3-run home run for the Rockies in the top of the first inning. With Colorado leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Corey Kluber and swatted a home run to left. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rockies ahead, 4-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said LeMahieu.
