The timely hitting of Mark Teixeira helped the Texas Rangers take down the Minnesota Twins, 5-4, in 11 innings. Teixeira went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rangers. The 4th-place Rangers now have a record of 23-29.

Teixeira had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-1 slider from Eddie Guardado, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Rangers a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Teixeira.

Teixeira told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
