Weaver Surgical in Los Angeles Win
|
Los Angeles pitcher Jered Weaver had a large part in his team beating the Seattle Mariners, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Los Angeles has a record of 21-30, placing them last in the American League Western Division.
The win was credited to Weaver. He raised his season record to 3-4. In 8.1 innings of work, Weaver gave up 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 7. The Mariners never could get a clutch hit when they needed it.
