Cardinals Get Past New York for 3-2 Win
St. Louis pitcher Dizzy Dean had a large part in his team subduing the New York Yankees, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The winner was Dean. He threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Babe Ruth. The Cardinals have an impressive 32-20 record.
