Kansas City pitcher Mark Gubicza did his part in helping his team beat the Los Angeles Angels, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Kansas City is second in the American League Central Division with a record of 24-25.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Salvador Perez to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Royals on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Mark gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Kansas City skipper .
