Tudor Now 4-5 After Beating Reds
|
The St. Louis Cardinals downed the Cincinnati Reds, 4-0, at Great American Ball Park. St. Louis pitcher John Tudor had a scintillating performance. With the win, the Cardinals have a record of 30-20.
Tudor, a native of Schenectady, New York, was dealing all game. He kept Cincinnati hitters off-balance, while giving the Cardinals 8.1 quality innings. Tudor threw 102 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Tudor. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
