AT&T Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants.

Miami designated hitter Miguel Cabrera made his presence felt in the 6-5 Marlins triumph over the San Francisco Giants. Cabrera was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Josh Beckett, the winner, goes to 4-4. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts over 7.1 innings.

Cabrera had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Hooks Wiltse, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Marlins a 3-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Cabrera.

"Ah," said Cabrera in a jubilant clubhouse, "the sweet smell of victory!."

Miami, now 20-24, holds down 4th place in the National League Eastern Division.
