Twins Snatch 3-2 Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Minnesota Twins and the Seattle Mariners, pitcher Walter Johnson was the difference between victory and defeat. Joe Nathan sewed up the save, his 9th.

In the bottom of the 5th, Minnesota took the lead on a 2-run single by Kirby Puckett. At the time, the Twins were trailing 2-1, but Puckett's hit with two outs against Seattle pitcher Felix Hernandez put them in front, 3-2.
