Crawford Hits Two Homers in 8-2 Win for Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Rays topped the Los Angeles Angels, 8-2, with left fielder Carl Crawford playing a big role. Crawford hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Rays in the win. Wilson Alvarez, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-4. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Los Angeles, at 17-24, has lost 6 straight.
