The New York Yankees faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher Jacob deGrom, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Citi Field by a final score of 5-2. deGrom went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. By defeating New York, the third-place Yankees improved to 23-18.
