New York Mets starter Craig Swan turned in a workmanlike performance against the New York Yankees at Citi Field. Skip Lockwood picked up the win in relief. Steve Hamilton took the loss for New York. The third-place Yankees now sit at 22-18.

Darryl Strawberry was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mets right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Swan.
