|
Tampa Bay got an elite performance from starting pitcher James Shields in securing a 4-0 decision over the Seattle Mariners. Tampa Bay is now 19-23, while Seattle is 27-14.
Randy Winn had a direct impact on the outcome. Winn contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put Tampa Bay up, 2-0.
