Big Day for Kress as Orioles Down Tigers, 11-9
A 4-RBI performance from the 25-year old shortstop Red Kress helped the Baltimore Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers, 11-9. Barney Pelty picked up the win in relief for Baltimore, while Denny McLain took the loss. Baltimore has a record of 19-20, placing them 4th in the American League Eastern Division.

Kress contributed in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Baltimore get the win.
