Seattle Mariners starter Randy D Johnson pitched well against the Tampa Bay Rays at Safeco Field, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Picking up his 14th save was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Kazuhiro Sasaki. The Mariners go to 27-13, putting them first in the American League Western Division.

Johnson tossed 111 pitches over 7.1 innings to clinch the win for the Mariners. The left-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.
