Roberts Slugs Orioles to 6-1 Win
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win, 6-1, over the Detroit Tigers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Brian Roberts led the charge. The Durham, North Carolina native went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for Baltimore. At 18-20, the Orioles claim 4th place in the American League Eastern Division.

With Baltimore trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Roberts hit a slider from Justin Verlander for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 2-1.

"We're producers not directors," said Roberts. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
