The 5-3 Chicago win over Chicago was due in large part to Hack Wilson. The Cubs center fielder was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Randy Myers nailed down the save. Chicago now sits at 19-15, while Chicago falls to 16-20.

Chicago used a well-timed hit by Joe Tinker to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Cubs ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Wilson. "And not try to do too much."
