Palmer Boss in 5-1 Baltimore Win
|
Tropicana Field was the site for American League action featuring the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles.
Baltimore Orioles starter Jim Palmer was on his game, helping his team beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 5-1. Tampa Bay now is 16-18.
Palmer was effective for Baltimore, seldom allowing the Rays to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 114 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Tampa Bay to just 1 run on 3 hits.
"It's not by accident that Jim finds ways to get outs," said Baltimore skipper .
