Braves Deal Cardinals 3-2 Loss
|
The Atlanta Braves wiggled past the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2, in 10 innings at Turner Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Atlanta pitcher Johnny Sain. Atlanta pitcher Gene Garber got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Al Hrabosky got the loss. The victory gives the Braves a record of 17-16.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ronald Acuna Jr. in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Al Hrabosky to win the game for Atlanta. The home crowd went nuts.
"Johnny gains confidence in the confidence we have in him," said Atlanta manager .
