Ohtani goes 4-for-4 to Ignite Dodgers Offense
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Washington Nationals, 7-4. Ohtani went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Dodgers. The loss makes Washington 9-24.
With Los Angeles leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Ohtani hit a 2-run single off Washington hurler Bill Gullickson. It was the 31st hit of the season for Ohtani and put his team ahead, 6-2.
Dodgers manager praised Ohtani after the game. "I keep telling everyone," he said, "'Don't go to sleep on this kid.'"
